Please check back to this website often to keep up with the latest news.

We have signed up with RELAY HEALTH (please check out www.relayhealth.com).
This is a website medical portal through which you may communicate with our office,
and keep a medical record for your child. You may request appointments, medication
refills and referrals through Relay Health. Non-urgent medical questions and office
questions can also be sent to us through the portal. We will call you back with
responses to any office question within 1 business day.

Hearing Testing: For all age groups, we have the technology to quickly and painlessly
test hearing through an Oto-Accoustic Emissions (OAE) Test. Over the past 2years, we
have introduced this test at certain key well-visits, based on recommendations from
the American Academy of Pediatrics. If your child has not passed the newborn nursery
hearing test or a school-based test, or if you have concerns about your child's hearing
due to school problems or a family history of hearing loss, we can quickly determine
whether or not further investigation by an audiologist or ear specialist is needed.

Our office is equipped with a state-of-the-art Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
that can be used to reverse certain life-threatening heart rhythm disturbances. While
it is our advice that all parents would call 9-1-1 in dire circumstances, we are
determined to offer your child the best chance of overcoming all crises.

Cold/Cough Medicines:Oral infant medicines for colds have been voluntarily withdrawn
from the market. As our patients know, we have never been advocates of these
medications, and applaud this step. Although basically safe, there is potential for abuse
and overdose of these medications. The memo from the Consumer Healthcare
Products Association can be found on our main page under "Cold Medicine
Withdrawal". Upper respiratory infections can be managed by giving plentyof fluids,
rest, use of a bulb syringe to clear nasal passage and saline nose drops. We are likewise
not advocates of "cold and cough" medications for children over age 2, although they
have not yet been withdrawn from the marketplace.

In accordance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of
1996), a copy of our Privacy Practices is now posted on this web site.
